Philosophy

Treatment should be a pain-free, facially-driven plan that resolves airway issues and achieves ideal results efficiently.

Values

Treatment starts with facial balance, an airway evaluation, and a clear understanding of each patient’s unique needs and long-term health.

The Eisinger Experience:
Why We Treat the Way We Do

Our practice was founded on a simple question: What if orthodontics could do more than just straighten teeth? What if it could also support healthy breathing, reduce pain, and guide facial development in a way that helped people truly feel better? Before becoming an orthodontist, Dr. Eisinger had braces himself. While his own orthodontic results were good, the process was uncomfortable and confusing. He knew there had to be a better way. Years later, this led him to the Damon System, a revolutionary approach that aligned with his belief in gentle, effective, and health-focused care.

Face-First Orthodontics

We are a face-first practice.
Your treatment plan is built around your unique facial structure, airway, and long-term health goals. When these fundamentals are in place, tooth alignment happens more efficiently and the results are more stable.

Meet Dr. John J. Eisinger, DDS

Creating beautiful smiles and building genuine relationships with my patients is my passion. I’ve always been committed to staying at the forefront of orthodontics—becoming the first orthodontist on the Central Coast to offer the Damon® System and Invisalign®. I continually pursue advanced training and love learning about the latest techniques and technologies in the field. Treating each patient like family has shaped the heart of my practice. It’s a value shared by my own family—you’ll often see my wife and daughters working right alongside our incredible team in the office.

Though I once dreamed of becoming a cowboy, discovering orthodontics changed my path. I earned my B.S. in Biochemistry from Gustavus Adolphus and my dental degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, followed by Orthodontic Residency at UCSF—where I also fell in love with California. Since 1976, I’ve proudly served patients across the central coast of California, providing personalized, quality orthodontic care in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Outside the office, I’m a proud dad to four daughters and “papa” to four granddaughters. I enjoy gardening, hiking, and cooking with my family whenever I can.

Our Approach

Every case starts with a detailed evaluation of tooth function, joint health, airway space and facial growth. We take the time to explain every recommendation, so you feel confident and informed about your care. We use low-force systems and collaborate with other providers to ensure your treatment is comprehensive and tailored to you.

Airway-Informed Treatment

We screen every patient for airway dysfunction, looking at health history, sleep patterns, and breathing habits from the first exam. If we see signs of airway issues, we may use appliances or myofunctional therapy to improve airway space and support healthy muscle function.

Meet the Team

From our front desk to our clinical team, our goal is to provide a calm, respectful, and caring experience for every patient. We give you time to ask questions and ensure treatment plans are explained clearly. We want you to feel comfortable and respected every step of the way.
