Patient Resources
Starting orthodontic treatment comes with a lot of questions. We’ve put together this page to make things easier. It covers what happens at the first visit, how we build your treatment plan, what kinds of tools and timelines you can expect, and how to make sense of payments and insurance. You’ll also find a few words from patients who’ve already been through it.
If you’re new here, this is a good place to start.
Your First Visit
Your first appointment is simple and relaxed. We take digital photos and digital images, then sit down with you to look at what’s happening beneath the surface. Dr. Eisinger does a full exam, checking airway health, jaw position, and facial growth.
If treatment is indicated and recommended, he will discuss estimated treatment time and options available. If Dr. Eisinger feels it’s too early to initiate treatment – we will arrange follow up visits until the time is right. Either way, you’ll leave with a clear picture and no pressure.
Before you come in, you can fill out your forms at home and download any guides you need here:

How Treatment Works
Every plan starts with listening. We want to understand your goals, objectives and any concerns you’ve had with past dental or orthodontic care. From there, we look at structure: how your face is growing or has developed, how your jaw moves, and how your airway functions. Then, we build a treatment plan that fits your biology and your facial aesthetics, not just your bite.
We use systems that work with light, steady pressure to move teeth more comfortably and protect facial balance. These include Damon Braces, Spark Clear Aligners, and appliances designed to improve breathing and function. We don’t default to extractions or surgery. Most of the time, they’re not necessary.
Appointments are scheduled every 6 to 10 weeks, and most comprehensive treatments are completed in less than 24 months. Phase 1 treatments average around 12-14 months. We explain every step initially and keep the process flexible if things change along the way.
